The February 2019 issue of Veteran Matters is one example of Marion VA Health Care System’s commitment to improving communication between the facility and shareholders. The newsletter features blogs from key staff as well as other relevant information.

In this issue, Medical Center Director Jo-Ann Ginsberg, RN, MSN, writes:  “ We pay tribute to World War II Veteran and longtime VA Volunteer William ‘Bill’ D. Curtis. Bill, 96, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Marion VA Medical Center – surrounded by people he loved, and people who loved him.”

She continues: “On Monday, Feb. 11, we dedicated our Pathology and Laboratory waiting area in honor of Bill, who was known as a hard-working and honorable man deserving of this distinction. At the dedication ceremony, highlighted on ABC News, Channel 3, Bill said that he was thankful for the grand gesture.”

The newsletter is sent out using the facility’s web-based email distribution system. Simply go to the home page at http://www.marion.va.gov/, and sign-up for free where it says “Subscribe to Receive Email Updates.”
